Rick Culver, a fine Jazz trombonist now based in Traverse City, MI, has been a veteran of West Coast Jazz for over 20 years. With Master’s Degrees from Juilliard and Michigan State, Rick Culver has performed and recorded with countless bands—including Buddy Rich, Bill Holman and Bob Florence—and has backed many jazz artists. Currently he continues to teach, perform and write in both jazz and classical genres. He now has joined JR247 as a reviewer, and will reviewing selected recordings in the next several months.
